Sarah and Anthony’s Mont De Lancey’s wedding

Sarah & Anthony found me after I officiated at a previous wedding and honestly, there is no greater compliment than a couple seeing you in action and deciding they want you to be part of their own day too.

From the very beginning, Sarah and Anthony wanted their ceremony to feel relaxed, joyful and completely centred around family, connection and fun and it absolutely did in spades.

One of the most beautiful moments of the day happened before Sarah even reached the aisle.

The children in Sarah and Anthony’s life stood on either side holding flowers, creating the sweetest pathway for her entrance. As Sarah walked toward Anthony to 'In Other Words' by Ed Sheeran, she collected the flowers one by one along the way. It was such a thoughtful way to include the children in the ceremony and created a moment that felt deeply personal and emotional.

And woven amongst all of that love were quiet reminders of the people who could not physically be there.

Sarah carried photographs of loved ones who had died wrapped into her bouquet which was a beautiful way of having them close beside her throughout the day.

Their ceremony perfectly balanced heartfelt moments with plenty of laughter too.

Their friend Sarah delivered a reading from a children’s book that had everybody absolutely in stitches which instantly relaxed everyone.

Another beautiful surprise came during the signing of the marriage documents when their friend Deanne performed a stunning version of ‘I can’t help falling in love with you’  alongside her beautiful daughter.

And then, as the ceremony came to an end, the energy shifted from heartfelt to full celebration.

As the newly married couple made their way back down the aisle to You're the One That I Want from Grease, the entire atmosphere transformed into party mode instantly.

It was such a fun and beautiful wedding to be a part of it.

From the moment we witnessed Fiona marry a family member we knew we would like to use her for our wedding. We felt it was worth paying for Fiona’s experience, as she made the whole process so clear and easy. She helped put us at ease especially at the rehearsal and on the wedding day. My husband and I were keen for the most authentic “us” wedding we could have. Fiona gave us so many tips and ideas on how to include our family in the process. She was warm and engaging and felt like an old friend along for the ride. Our guests made constant comments on how beautiful the ceremony was. Thank you Fiona.
